White Office Furniture

Dull or Fresh? Whatever you think about the colour white, it can work in any office space and with different types of interiors. White is a timeless colour that will never go out of fashion and therefore making it ideal for the office environment.

If used correctly, white office furniture can make a pure and fresh impression and create a peaceful atmosphere. To prevent a ‘white’ room from looking blank and boring, other colours or materials should be introduced to the design.  White looks great together with wood furniture or coloured glass or mixed with black office furniture to create a minimalist modern design.

WHITE OFFICE DESKS AND TABLES
White office desks and tables are available in glass, melamine and mdf and you can choose between a glossy or matt surface.  By keeping your desk surfaces white the room will appear light and big even if other furniture is dark.

Create a crisp look in your boardroom with a large white glass table with aluminium or chrome frame and legs.  Add wooden, black or different coloured boardroom chairs to complete the look. For a warmer feel turn it around and use white leather boardroom chairs with a wooden boardroom table.

WHITE OFFICE STORAGE
White storage units such as filing cabinets, drawers, cupboards and bookshelves would blend in and appear smaller if put against a white wall. If you want them to be more noticeable, many units are now available with a wooden frame or with coloured glass doors.

In an otherwise white room, add a splash of colour through accessories and by making one piece of furniture stick out.  A large red metal Bisley filing cabinet would make a contemporary and fun effect and add a bit of warmth to the room.

WHITE RECEPTION FURNITURE
Make your reception area feel airy and spacious with a white reception desk and matching white leather sofas or tub chairs. Choose a reception desk with wooden, aluminium or coloured glass features and find a coffee table to match.

If you are still not convinced that white is the colour for you then cream furniture, or a very light wood like beech, could have a similar effect as white furniture.

Executive Home Office Furniture

With nearly 3.5 million people working from home, more people now experience a better work-life balance and less commuting during busy rush hours. Employers may also be pleased to hear that many of us are actually more productive when working at home.

The above figures have been published by the organisation Work Wise UK, the same organisation that encouraged us to stay at home Friday, May 15th to mark the National Work from Home Day.
A prerequisite for taking your work home is usually a computer and a suitable place to work, e.g. a spare room in the house or a converted attic or basement space. Whatever space you call your home office, it calls for functional furniture that meets your requirements for quality and style. The high quality and superior design of executive home office furniture therefore make them an ideal choice for the home office.

Black Office Furniture

Black is currently a very popular colour in interior design and frequently used in both homes and offices. However, some people may steer away from black office furniture afraid that it is going to make their room look dreary, small or dark. Here are some ideas how black furniture are best incorporated into your office, giving it a modern and stylish result without looking gloomy.

Black office furniture can be used in all styles of offices but may work best with a minimalist, executive or contemporary style. The colour black could have a smaller and darker effect on the room’s space, it is therefore recommended that you start with neutral coloured walls, this will also make your black office furniture stand out more. Make sure that you make the most of natural light by letting in as much light as you can from windows and adjoining rooms.

Materials
Black office furniture is now available in several different materials making them suitable for various styles and budgets. Black desks and storage units are available in a matt or glossy mdf material. Other black materials include glass, e.g black glass desks and cabinets with black glass doors, and upholstery fabrics or leathers used for black computer chairs, sofas and screens.
If you like black office furniture but prefer the characteristics of wood furniture then a very dark wood like wengue, should have the same effect.

Ideas
When incorporating black furniture in the office you’ll have the option to go all black where all main furniture in the room is black or mixing black furniture with wood or other neutral colours.
If all major furniture is black, you could introduce a bright splash of colour like red, pink and orange in accessories, lights and artwork.

You can also use black furniture in the same way as above but instead of all black, black furniture can be used together with neutral colours like white, cream or grey.

Another great look is combining black office furniture with a type of wood of your choice. If you are bored with your wooden desks then black computer chairs and black screening can give the room a modern feel.

Black and Wooden Office Furniture

Another way to introduce black and wood together is by mixing black and wood furniture from the same range, e.g. by putting two storage units together; one black and one wood. You can also find wooden furniture with black features, e.g. Computer desks with black drawers or side panels.

There are so many ways to incorporate black office furniture into your office and whatever design you will choose; black office furniture will add instant style and sophistication to your office.
