The office furniture in the computer chair section varies dramatically in price and in quality. The main difference in the chairs shown will be the mechanism underneath and the movements/adjustability that the chair offers.

Most of the chairs featured start off with basic gas lift seat height adjustment, back angle adjustment on a wheel or lever and back height adjustment on a wheel. The mechanisms then get more advanced as you progress through the section.

A common question is ‘what is a synchro mechanism?’ this means that the seat and back will tilt in a certain ratio to each other, rather than the back and seat tilting separately to each other.

How to choose

Think about how you want your chair to adjust, i.e. do you need the seat to tilt forward or if you have long legs do you need a seat slider. Then choose a chair with the appropriate adjustments.

Most of the chairs in this section can be upholstered in a huge choice of fabrics and colours. The chairs that are only available in a few colours can be found by clicking on the thumbnail image, then on the finishes button beneath the main image. If a new window appears with several fabric choices then the chairs can be upholstered in any fabric. Note: Different fabrics can greatly increase the price of the chairs!
