Manager Chairs - Fabric

In a manager chair, with its high back and arms, you are sure to sit comfortably all day. Many models have matching visitor and computer chairs so that you can create a coordinated look around the office. Our range includes classic and contemporary models with a vast choice of colours and fabrics.

This section of office furniture includes furniture that has been manufactured within the UK and products that have been imported from other countries. The products that are manufactured in the UK can usually be upholstered in any of the fabrics available. The imported products are usually only available in two or three fabric colours which are usually red, blue or black.

The manager chairs are usually bigger in all dimensions than the computer chairs and have a much higher back and deeper foam. The manager chairs will also usually all have arms, most of which cannot be removed as they are structural to the chair.

The more cost effective chairs in this section will probably have a ‘Rock & Tilt’ mechanism that means that the chair can either rock or be locked in an upright position. As you progress through the section the mechanisms will have more adjustment, for instance, a knee tilt chair can rock and be locked in a position.

How to choose

Budget will be one important factor when choosing a manager chair. By their very nature, manager chairs are usually specified for a manager or someone in an executive position. Although the more cost effective chairs are good value, it may be more advisable to look at a chair with a better mechanism for someone in a managerial position.

The other main factor to consider is that most manager chairs are not design to be sat in for 8 hours a day. The only ones that are really suitable for 8 hour use are the ones shown that have a back that can be adjusted in height or angle separately from the seat.
